Hop Fest Overview
Hop Fest starts Fri, Sept. 18 with a paired brew dinner at the Copper Turret in Morrisville. On Sat, Sept. 19 at 10 am, on the grounds of the Madison County Historical Society, there will be presentations by guest speakers on a variety of hop related topics throughout the afternoon. From 12-2 pm join us for the Taste of Hops: a food & beer pairing featuring appetizers and confectionary delights from The Colgate Inn, The Copper Turret, Ye Olde Landmark Tavern, and Meyers Chocolates. From 2:30-5:30 pm, join us under the beer tent for brewery samplings from some of your favorite craft breweries – Landmark, Cooperstown, Saranac, LongTrail, Middle Ages, High Falls, Ommegang, Magic Hat, and more! There will be over 40 styles of craft beer to sample. Throughout the afternoon purchase your raffle tickets to win great beer-related merchandise. Visit the Hopshop to purchase hop plants and event shirts! The Hop Fest weekend concludes on Sunday touring hop kilns. Included on the tour and new this year will be kilns in Oneida & Otsego Counties!
There is no admission to attend the Hop Fest. Admission is charged for the Brew Dinner, Taste of Hops, Brewery Sampling, and the Hop Tour. No one under the age of 21 will be permitted to enter the events where beer is served. Proper id is required for entrance to all areas where beer is served! Please do not bring children, strollers, or pets to the event. Tickets will be available for designated drivers (who must be 21 years of age) at the entrance of the brewery sampling tent. Tickets for the paired brew dinner are $40 and available online, at MCHS, or at the Copper Turret. Taste of Hops Tickets (only 150 will be sold) are $15/$20 at door. Advance tickets are available at the participating locations, MCHS,or online. Brewery Sampling Tickets are $25 advance/$30 at door and are available at Arnie’s Produce/Kraig’s Kegs in Sherrill, MCHS, or online.
